Sunday Gospel Readings and Reflections for March 6, 2011
9th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Psalter: Week 1
Ps 31:2-3, 3-4, 17, 25
Lord be my rock of safety.
Daily Gospel Readings and Reflections 2011

1st Reading: Dt 11:18, 26-28, 32
Moses said, “Engrave these words of mine on your heart and in your soul, brand them on your handas a sign, and keep them always before your eyes.”
“See that on this day, I set before you a blessing and a curse. A blessing if you obey the commandments of Yahweh that I command you today; a curse if you disobey these commandments and turn aside from the way that I show you now, to follow strange gods which are not yours.”
“And be careful to carry out all the laws and precepts which I now set before you.”

2nd Reading: Rom 3:21-25, 28

The Righteousness of God Through Faith
21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justifiedby his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

28For we hold that one is justified by faith(A) apart from works of the law.

Gospel: Mt 7-21-27

I Never Knew You

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me,you workers of lawlessness.’

Build Your House on the Rock
24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Lectio: Anyone who hears these words of mine, and acts accordingly, is like a wise man who built his house on rock.

Meditatio: God is our sure foundation. When we listen, keep and follow His words in our lives, we will always be safe and secure.

Oration: Let us continue to surrender all our worries and anxieties to God. He always keeps His word!

Actio: Like God, let us keep our word to someone to whom we made a promise.

Note:The Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio and Actio came from my Daily Gospel  2011 booklet by Claretian Publications. The first reading, second readings and gospel came from the Bible English Standard Version.

Web hosting plans

I am so happy when I finished integrating my simple web design into wordpress then I finally started to create contents for my site last year. After choosing my own domain name for my site, the second thing that I must do is to choose for web hosting service. Web hosting is the place where your content pages actually reside to make it accessible on the World Wide Web.
There are many things to consider in choosing web hosting for your website. Different plans and packages are available depending on the services offered by the web hosting company. When I tried to search and read about the web hosting packages, the common package that they offer are personal,  standard web hosting and business web hosting
Since my other site is a standard website, I choose the standard package first then if I have future plans for business; all I have to do is to convert it to business web hosting. Personal We hosting  is ideally for student professionals and newbies. Standard package is ideally for small business and home offices while business web hosting is ideally for business organizations. Typically the features like email, web programming, web statistics and advanced options in web hosting plans differ in each package. Usually the disk space allocation and the Monthly Data Transfer or Bandwidth are the most important things to check when choosing web hosting plans.

Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Mama!

I would like to show the world how lucky I am to have a wonderful Mama and how I love her so much. Today is the birthday of my dear loving mother and I am so thankful that there are many blessings coming on the way and good health is one of the major blessing.
supermommyjem’s super mother
Yes you’ve read it! It’s supermommyjem’s super mother’s birthday. The features of my face is not as beautiful as my mom’s but as I grew old, many people noticed that I am becoming like my mom (yay beautiful LOL). My mama has taught me and my siblings so many good things in life, she is the type of person who is very humble, patient and thinks with great extent for the good sake.
Aside from the beautiful physical features that I inherited from her down to my children, the greatest inheritance that she gave to me and my siblings is good values on how you treat people with good understanding. Secondly, my mama has been very supportive to our studies that she raised us well with my father and I was able to finish college and the rest of my siblings too. You can read my simple inspiring story about my family.
Currently, there are some things that my mama kept on thinking on how to deal with and an enduring patience is needed. I hope that the persons involved with it read this post of mine to please be inspired with our simple family and be a blessing to everybody not to be a burden in the family or a nightmare when you sleep.

My birthday Wish for my mama: I have only one great wish for my wonderful mama and that is to have a peace of mind while facing some things coming along the away.
I will never forget the time that she told me that money is so easy to earn and grab for as long as you work hard on it. If you lose your money, you can have it back for even more but respect, dignity and trust for a person is difficult to gain when you lost it.

Self-respect is the cornerstone of all virtue.

Lady Gaga Born This Way by Maria Aragon

I have watched Lady Gaga’s Born This Way version sung by a Maria Aragon three weeks ago and she really did great.

While blog hopping today, I came across to a blog that has a music video of Lady Gaga Born This Way and I watched it. Supposedly, I would like to embed that music video here but I decided to just embed the video of Born This Way version sung by a Maria Aragon.

Lady Gaga is really a good singer and performer but I have to admit that I don’t like her super provocative videos that contains violence, nudity and devilish acts. Sorry to the fans of her I am not against of her; I am just sharing my honest opinion.

How to reach Nuffnang Office in the Philippines at Bonifacio Global City Taguig?

Finally, I was able to reached Nuffnang office in the Philippines and claimed my LOUD Tommy Hilfiger Eu de toilette (a new scent of Tommy Hilfiger) as my prize for the Tommy Hilfiger’s LOUD Contest. Today was the last date of claiming the prizes so I am thankful that my hubby escorted me to go there.

Going to Nuffnang Office in the Philippines
It was our first drive to go to the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City so we did some search on how to get there. We tried to visit google maps and I have included the map for Nuffnang office in the Philippines below using google maps.
The easiest way that we’ve found to go there is the route from Ayala Makati City going to Bonifacio Global City. You just have to drive from Ayala Ave. through McKinley Road passing ahead of 5th Ave. (there is no left turn in 5th Ave.) so just continue driving in McKinley road then all the way to the 9th Ave.  In our driving experience we passed ahead of 9th Ave. because we’ve turned at 11 Ave. but we we’re able to find our way by passing through the 26th street then turning right to the 9th Avenue. At the 9th Avenue, we passed ahead of 28th Street. The nearest landmark to look for in going to Nuffnang office in the Philippines is Honda so when we’ve reached Honda, we turned right on the near side of it to look for the parking area.
We park the car at new city center car park with a  parking fee of 30 pesos ( approximately $0.70) for the first three hours.
Nuffnang Office in the Philippines
Since the address of Nuffnang office is at Unit 2E03-2E05 Bldg. 5, Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Philippines, from the parking area the building number is noticeable. Building 5 or B5 (orange roofing design) can easily be seen from the parking area. You can also park for free beside the B5 building but it still depends if there is an available slot. We walk from the parking going to building 5 (not far) then we take the stairs going to their office; it is located at  second floor and the third door from the stairs.
I am so happy that I was able to claimed my prize in the last day. It is a pair of Tommy Hilfiger LOUD Eu De Toilette and I will share the photo in my other blog.

Gospel – Rest in God alone, my soul.

Sunday Gospel Readings and Reflections for February 27, 2011
8th Sunday in ordinary time, Psalter: Week 3
Ps 62:2-3, 6-7, 8-9
Rest in God alone, my soul.
Daily Gospel Readings and Reflections 2011
1st Reading: Is 49:14-15
 14But Zion said,”The LORD has forsaken me;
   my Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.

2nd Reading: 1 Cor 4:1-5

The Ministry of Apostles
1This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 2Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. 3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 4 For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. 5Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

Gospel: Matthew 6:24- 34

24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
Do Not Be Anxious
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Lectio: Set your heart first on the kingdom and justice of God, and all these things will also be given to you.
Meditatio: God provides for us like a good father and mother. We have nothing to worry about in our life.

Oratio: Let us face our crises with serenity. We recall how our parents reassured us in the face of adversity. We remember that God secures us a million times over.

Actio: Think Abundance! Let us stop scarcity mentality from undermining our hope and trust in God.
Note:The Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio and Actio came from my Daily Gospel  2011 booklet by Claretian Publications. The first reading, second readings and gospel came from the Bible English Standard Version.

Gospel- Guide me, Lord, in the way of your commands

Daily Gospel Readings and Reflections for today (February 25, 2011)
7th week in ordinary time Psalter: Week 3
Ps 119:12, 16, 18, 27, 34, 35
Guide me, Lord, in the way of your commands
Daily Gospel Readings and reflections 2011
1st Reading: Sir 6:5–17
A gentle word makes many friends, an agreeable tongue calls forth gracious replies. Let your friends be many; but your counselors, one in a thousand!
If you would gain a friend, begin by testing him and do not put your confidence in him too quickly. For there is the friend who is such when it suits him but he does not remain faithful in the time of your adversity.
There is the friend who becomes an enemy and, to your confusion, makes known why you quarreled.
There is the friend who shares your table but does not remain faithful when things go against you. In times of prosperity he will be like your shadow and he will speak freely to those of your household. But if you are humiliated, he will turn against you and will avoid meeting you.
Distance yourself from your enemies and be careful about your friends.
The faithful friend is a secure refuge; whoever has found one has found a treasure. A faithful friend is beyond all price; hold him as priceless. A faithful friend is a life-saving remedy, and those who fear the Lord will find one.
Whoever fears the Lord will make true friends for, as a man is, such will his friend be.

Gospel: Mk10:1-12
Teaching About Divorce
1 And he left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered to him again. And again, as was his custom, he taught them.

2And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” 3He answered them, “What did Moses command you?” 4They said, “Moses allowed a man to write a certificate of divorce and to send her away.” 5And Jesus said to them, “Because of yourhardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ 7’Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, 8and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. 9What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

10And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter. 11And he said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, 12and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Reflections taken from Daily Gospel 2011 by Claretian Publications
When we call “vocation” is not only the call to the priesthood or religious life; married life is also a call from God. We often forgot that our greatest saint, Mary, was a wife and a mother, or that our first pope, Peter, had a mother-in-law. The love between husband and wife demands life -long commitment and sacrifice, borne out of selfless love for each other, because such love is a love made in heaven.

Justin Bieber New Haircut 2011

While working online I heard from the news on TV (ANC) that Justin Bieber has a new haircut so I tried to look on the internet what it looks like. We know the Justin Bieber is a cute talented artist from Canada and his songs are really big hits. My little boy loves to watch and listen to his songs and music videos.

Here’s what I’ve found:

Justin Bieber New Haicut – Picture is not mine just googled it

So what do you think? He is still cute.

Daily Gospel: The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.

Daily Gospel Readings and Reflections for today (February 22, 2011)
Daily Gospel Readings and Reflections 2011
1st Reading: 1 P 5:1-4
Shepherd the Flock of God
1So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: 2 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
Gospel: Matthew 16:13-19
Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ
13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17And Jesus answered him,  “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you,  but my Father who is in heaven. 18And I tell you,  you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of  hellshall not prevail against it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Refelections taken from Daily Gospel 2011 by Claretian Publications
Who Jesus for us shows how we see ourselves as Christians. He is the fullness of the God’s offer of life and love; in him the past and the future meet to show us how wonderful the present is! Christ is the center of all creation, the unity that proclaims we, even on earth, are all sisters and brothers, children of one source of life in heaven. Sadly, we, Christians, still have to know who Jesus truly is.
