The traditional Filipino merienda are Puto, Kakanin, pansit, palabok, fried bananas/ Camote, ginataang halo and many to mention. Those are the popularly known Filipino merienda. Special thanks to Sister Marilou for sharing merienda this afternoon which consist of the traditional Filipino merienda such as Ube Kakanin, Puto and Pansit Bihon. It was so delicious and healthy. Normally coconut milk is the main ingredient of the traditional Filipino delicacies and merienda. In cooking pansit bihon, the typical ingredients are Bihon, cabbage, shrimp, chicken or pork, carrots, onions, garlic and other vegetables are optional.
