A week ago my cousin was confined at the hospital because of Dengue fever. Thank God that she is now better and doing fine at home. At the government hospital where she was admitted, I have noticed that they do observe strict order and cleanliness. The nurse that attended are so neat in their nursing uniforms. Because my cousin was admitted at midnight during that time, there is only few doctors on schedule. You cannot talk to them immediately because they have patients in line to check.
Only one person is allowed to go inside the room and help the patient so we waited at a couple of minutes at the waiting area. The waiting area is near at the hallway. I was with my sister to accompany my cousin there. We could see some staff passing by at the hallway in their hospital uniform scrubs. We also saw some nursing trainees wearing their nursing scrub uniform. There are also other people waiting at the waiting area and I heard them that the visiting hours is from 4PM to 7PM.
After a few minutes, the brother of my cousin(Dengue patient) approached us saying that he will be the one to stay so we just leave him with some money to keep for the hospitalization. The next day I visited my cousin in their visiting hours. My cousin only stayed four days at the hospital and on the fifth day she was so happy to return home. The hospital that I mentioned here is San Lazaro Hospital in Manila. I hope most hospitals here in the Philippines will be like their standards when it comes to service, clean and order.
